AppLift Labs: At the Forefront of Mobile AdTech Innovation

The recent turmoil induced by ad blocking on mobile has shown that the industry is at a tipping point and that some fundamental things need to change. Everyone, especially users, want ads that are less-intrusive and better targeted, while advertisers want ads that are more reliable: viewable, brand-safe, and fraud-free.

Today we're excited to announce the launch of AppLift Labs, an internal task force in charge of leading product innovation in mobile advertising technology. Based out of our San Francisco office, AppLift Labs will bring together bright, like-minded, entrepreneurial spirits to work on and define the future of mobile adtech. Together with top internal talent from the company's 7 global offices, the Labs will also be open to external applicants and will involve high-level industry professionals on a consultancy basis.

AppLift Labs will led by Vaibhav Gupta, AppLift's Chief Innovation Officer. Vai is passionate about technology innovation and comes with an extensive background in adtech, as he previously co-founded and served as CEO of white label mobile DSP Bidstalk, aquired by AppLift in May, and was CTO of Airpush India before that.

The Labs' core mission and focus will be to develop the products enabling a better adtech ecosystem and the task force has already started working on issues related to the industry's key challenges:

Ad relevancy, data privacy, ad viewability and ad fraud.
