AppLift's inaugural conference, FirstScreen, is just a few a weeks away. A couple of weeks ago we introduced you to our speakers as well as the conference agenda. As we countdown to June 15, we bring to you the first of our exclusive interviews with our speakers. Read on to learn more about their perspective on all things mobile!

Thank you so much for taking part in the first edition of the FirstScreen Conference. To start off, a general question: what does the concept of mobile mean to you?

Consumers have gone mobile. 62% of all digital time is being spent on mobile devices, and this figure is rapidly growing. The digital world is becoming more and more fragmented with many screen sizes and device formats becoming available, which each hardware functionality differing hugely. Mobile is ingrained within our daily lives and behaviors and is now the remote control to how we connect with our homes, cars, shops and other people more than ever.

What are the key strategic considerations for your clients when developing their mobile strategies?

Understanding our client's business, their objectives and how mobile can contribute to their overall deliverables is very important when servicing a client. We take a very data driven, consultative and transparent approach and deliver a marketing strategy bespoke to that specific client.

How important is data in that regard, how can data be leveraged more in the ecosystem?

Data beats opinion any time of the day! Data is at the heart of digital advertising. It allows us the deliver the right message to the right person at the right time. At the same time we have to ensure we respect and manage users' privacy.

What are you most looking forward to at #firstscreen16?

I love Berlin and am always looking for an excuse to visit this amazing city! FirstScreen is the first conference entirely dedicated to mobile performance advertising and advertising technology. I am very much looking forward to exchanging ideas with the leading minds of the mobile industry.
